Refuge is always making 'room at the table' through our Missional Communities and DNA groups.  Our hope is as they grow, they separate to form more MC's, so likewise this list will be changing often to include new Missional Communities. 
​Currently we have five MCs:  PaceSetters, Joy Group, This Is Us, Collective and Redeemed.

Meet Our MC's

PaceSetters:  From young families with and without children, to singles, retirees and everyone in-between, The PaceSetters Missional Community is a family group that supports and loves one another. We eat together, play together, go to ball games together, and go on mission together. We learn from God’s Word, pray with and for each other, provide and receive encouragement and support, and learn how to be a follower of Jesus Christ…together. Led by our Pastor, Scott Carlson and his wife Sarah, the PaceSetters' desire is to lead the way in starting more MC’s as they grow to make more room around the table for all the people who call Refuge home. We are family. We are servants. We are missionaries.

Joy Group:  The Joy group (Just Over Youth) is primarily made up of retired senior adults, but all are welcome.  Our goals are to support one another and members of the Refuge with prayer and deeds.  We meet Tuesdays afternoons twice a month in a member's home.   We share a meal together,  play games, have devotion and pray for the needs of our group and others.  Currently our mission goals are: to help with funeral dinners, babysit children of church members, driving members of the Refuge to appointments,  helping others when needed and a card ministry.

This is Us:  We are lead by the Crawfords and Streets (photo is the Alaina and Billy Crawford).  We meet together the 1st Sunday of every month for a meal and fellowship. Our get togethers are always full of laughter, kids playing with each other, and deep conversations. We have families of various ages and in all different seasons including young children, those without children, and empty nesters whose children who are out of the house. We are passionate about serving our community and are planning on partnering with a local nursing home to minister to some of their residents. We love welcoming new people into our MC!

Collective:  We would love for you to be part of The Collective. We are a group of families living life on life together. Our families meet once a month to laugh, pray, seek wisdom in the word, and of course food. We have hearts for being the hands and feet of Jesus within our community. We host a monthly outreach providing free childcare for local families that need help. We value inclusion while being deep rooted in our love for Jesus.

Redeemed:  Led by Nathan and Kara Donnini and Jeff and Celina McCoy.  Redeemed Missional Community Group is co-lead by the McCoys and Donninis  We try to meet once a month to have a meal and some form of fellowship.  We have a wide range of ages in our group from young children to the young at heart.  We love to laugh, but even better, we love to laugh together.  We enjoy serving our community and are looking to spread the responsibilities over the group so everyone has a role in this family.  We are always listening for new, fresh ideas.  We welcome having new families show up to our group.
